An interesting article on Human Bias, Machine Learning and the questions raised by the fact that “Humans are biased, and the biases we encode into machines are then scaled and automated”.

Are we making machines learn the way our biased brain sees things? Would the same machines learn the same thing and be encoded the same way by different social/racial/etc. groups? These are uncomfortable questions that we need to ask ourselves as machines become more and more sophisticated and take more and more autonomous decisions.
